Pullyblank Hurls A No Hitter!

Brian Pullyblank (Southern Illinois) forgot his cleats for Friday night’s New York Collegiate Baseball League game. The right-hander certainly remembered his pitching arsenal. 

Pullyblank went the distance and held the Niagara Power without a hit as the Webster Yankees won with a walk-off triple, 1-0. 

The Caledonia, N.Y. native struck out nine and walked none for his first win of the season. 

“You don’t do it all yourself,” said Pullyblank referring to the work of teammates. “Ollie (Webster catcher, Bertrand) called a great game and the defense was great behind me.” 

The Webster hurler needed just 104 pitches (69 for strikes) to complete the no hitter. 

“My slider was really working; it was nice and tight.” 

Pullyblank finished the game striking out three of the last four batters he faced including the final hitter, Jacan Warren (Mississippi College).
