Bearcats Wear No. 11 Patch to Honor OSU Pitcher/Leukemia Patient Zach Farmer

The Ohio State Buckeyes will host the UC Bearcats on Tuesday night in their last non-conference game of the season, but they'll be playing with more on their minds than just baseball. Freshman pitcher Zach Farmer currently has myeloid leukemia, and the Buckeyes are doing whatever they can to help their ailing teammate.

According to The Columbus Dispatch's Mark Znidar (h/t ESPN.com's Austin Ward), Buckeye captain Tim Wetzel organized an effort by the Buckeyes players to help find a bone marrow donor for Farmer. On their off day Monday, all 37 members of the team, as well as head coach Greg Beals, got screened to see if they could be a potential match. Tuesday will mark the Buckeyes' first game since the screening.
