2010 College Softball World Series: Upsets Galore on Day One

The 2010 College Softball World Series kicked off yesterday with a bang. All the higher seeds won their games making it a dog fight for the title.

Traci Yoshikawa hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning and Alexandra Aguirre also homered as Hawaii beat Missouri 3-2 in the opening game of the Women's College World Series.

The fifth-seeded Bruins broke the school record for home runs in a single season with three more bombs on Thursday and also scored the most runs ever in a UCLA postseason contest in a 16-3, six-inning victory over no. 4 Florida in the first game of the Women's College World Series at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium.

In front of a massive crowd on a muggy Thursday night at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla., No. 15 Tennessee (48-13) continued its amazing perfect run through the NCAA Tournament by opening the program's fourth trip to the Women's College World Series with a staggering 9-0 (5 inn.) run-rule victory over No. 3 Arizona (48-12).
