Are you someone who prefers staying in a campground quiet enough to hear the insects chirping at night and no lights to block out the stars?

While it would mean staying two hours south of Omaha, the very low camping fee would pay for your gas.

You can drive up the east side of Nebraska through Auburn and Nebraska City, or go west from Auburn and take the Interstate up the west side of Iowa.

The name of this park is Kirkman's Cove and is 2 1/2 miles west of Humboldt NE, on highway 4 going to Beatrice.

It has a large lake for fishing and the Humboldt swimming pool opens on Memorial Day.

Just check out Kirkman's Cove on the Internet for more information.
